2026 Academic Conference on Crime Problems and Countermeasures & The 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Dear Distinguished Officials, Colleagues, and Experts,

  Time flies, and thirty years have passed since the Department of Criminology at National Chung Cheng University was established in 1996. Over the past three decades, the Department has committed itself to research in criminological theories, criminal justice, and correctional practices. We have cultivated countless outstanding professionals, contributing significantly to Taiwan's public safety and judicial system.

  To commemorate this 30th-anniversary milestone, the Department will host the "Academic Conference & 30th Anniversary Celebrations" on Friday, November 6, 2026. This conference will focus on contemporary challenges and forward-looking strategies in crime prevention, bringing together prominent scholars, experts, and practitioners to explore future visions. Concurrently, master's and doctoral students who wish to share their findings are warmly invited to present their research achievements. Through these cross-disciplinary dialogues and academic synergy, we look forward to jointly leading the development of crime prevention for the next three decades.

Contemporary criminological theories and empirical research topics include, but are not limited to:

1. Cybercrime, Digital Security, and Prevention Strategies
2. Criminal Justice Reforms and Future Trends in Corrections
3. Juvenile Delinquency, Substance Abuse, and Social Safety Nets
